Master Cables

Master cables serve as reference cables with reference connector on each side of the cable. They are used for repeatable IL / RL measurements of assemblies and links. The reference cables are defined in the following standards:

IEC 61280-4-1 / IEC 61280-4-2 / IS 14763-3

Specifications of reference connectors and adapters:
IEC 60874-14 series / IEC 60874-19 series / EN 50377 series

HUBER+SUHNER fiber optic master cables can be returned to repolish the ferrules and to update test parameters. However, master connectors can only be repolished as long as the ferrule length does not fall below the minimum length indicated in the appropriate connector standard.
